My Second Report with the CX220

Additional observations:

- No compatibility problems with the CX220 other than the id issue.

-- Bugs:

- Concerning deleting the first item on the play. If this is done while the player is seeking to the next disk the second item on the list is always deleted. - With the 8/1 Beta I was no longer able to access Internet CDDB sites, in fact I couldn't even get the list of sites. Restoring the previous release fixed the problem. Haven't tried upgrading again yet to check for operator error.

-- Freatures Since you said there was some commercial interest in this software and I definitely think it has potential I have some feature thoughts:

- For building up play lists for later recording the ability to preview by playing a selected track anywhere in the list (using the right click list) would be great. Right now I have move the track to the top and then hit play. If I like it then I move it back in the list if I delete it (I sometimes lose the next second track as well due to bug above). This feature would let you preview the selections and order much more easily. Unless there is some way to do this I haven't found.

- The right and double click function should operate consistently in the library and play lists. If double click expands tracks in the library then it should in the playlist. Right click moves item to the playlist in the library but brings up selections in the playlist some of which are related to the selected item and some aren't. BTW the preview as a list item in the library would also be a nice to have.

- I check the Win98 Deluxe CD Player database and it is an Access file so no way to import or export directly from CDJ but Access utilities could be written to do this easily. Another program that uses Access is CATraxx98, it has extensive fields and customizable reports.

- Is there a away to enter disk and track numbers for play for albums that are not in the library database (and i don;t necessarly want to add them)? I thought I might to able to do it from the player window but couldn't find a way.
