ERRORS in Slink-e 2.0 kit assembly instructions

Colby and all kit builders!!!! There are a number of errors in the 2.0 kit assembly instructions as follows:

1. Starting with the Parts List and Step two of the Assembly instructions - there are six (not five) 0.1 mf Capacitors and they should be referenced as C6, C7, C9, C11, C12 & C13 (They are INCORRECTLY identified as C1, C3, C8, C11 & C12) It is a bitch to get them back out of C1, C3 & C8 after you have them soldered in place! The symbols on the board should have made me suspicious, but I followed the directions... only to find later in the parts list & instructions that C1, C3 & C8 are also designated for other capacitors. Examination of a blowup of the schematic confirmed that the directions are wrong. I only screwed up one circuit board trace getting them out, and I think I have repaired it so it will work.

2. The 10k Ohm resistor (brown-black-orange-gold) is shown as 1 resistor designated as R2. This is WRONG. There are two 10k resistors and they should be correctly designated as R6 & R7.

3. There are three 4.7k ohm resistors (yellow-violet-red-gold) not one and they should be designated R3, R4, & R5.

4. The serial EEPROM designated as U10 is identified as a 21LC01B in the parts list - it is actually a 24LC01B

5. In the parts list should show that there are THREE 6N136 Optocouplers.

6. The 1N4148 signal diode (D2) has a BLACK band not a White band as indicated in Step 14.

7. A heat sink was included with the parts. I assume it clamps on the LM7805 IC (U5) in Step 22

8. And last (so far) There are no install instructions for the Schott Transformer, T1. I am stuck at this step - it looks like there are no orientation markers, so it probably doesn't matter which way I put it in, but ?????

PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE T1 TRANSFORMER

John
