SLink-X and VB6.0

I recently installed Visual Basic 6.0 (part of the Visual Studio 6.0 package) and if I create a simple form with an SLink-X control on it and then (without any code at all) just run the project, VB6 GP faults. Has anyone had any luck with the SLink activeX control and VB6? Other VB projects without the Slink control on them work fine so my VB installation is working fine.
