Hi all,

Two-three weeks ago, I noticed a discussion on these (and other CLJ.*)
ngs on the issue of ActiveX-Java connectivity. Last week, we went
alpha with our RJAX (Remote Java ActiveX Server) product that addresses
this issue. The product pretty much acts as a bridge between standard
JVMs (e.g. Sun JDK116, etc.) and local/remote ActiveX/OLE/DLL
components.

RJAX allows any Java client(applet or application, on any platform)
to connect to remote ActiveX/OLE components or DLLs (which may reside
on any networked windows machine). Developers are provided a client
bean which provides a simple to use API to interact with ActiveX
objects and DLLs. The communication is handled via either HTTP,
TCP, RMI, or local.

In addition, we also provide a bean generation utility that generates
a bean wrapper on the client side for any local/remote ActiveX
objects. From this point on, developers can use this client bean like
any JavaBean with the same functionality as the ActiveX object.
