It certainly wouldn't be compatible with S-Link since this is a proprietary Sony protocol. It may be good enough to do what we want, but I have no way of knowing unless I buy one. I tried getting ahold of some people at Kenwood, but had no luck...
Their two transport model could be very promising in that you could do continuous playback with only one unit and not have to limit yourself to alternation between the players.
