I'm currently working on a Slinke daemon under UNIX which is now working and listening on the serial port and understanding messages from my sony 200 disc changer. I haven't really thought out how I'm going to finish it up, but I was thinking that I would like to a a tcp connection to it, and have it listen to a port and speak a fairly easy to understand protocol "CHANGER-1 STOP", or "IR-0 NEXT_TV_CHANNEL", as well as being able to send commands like that in plan text. I would like the bulk of the IR detection to be done in the daemon, as well as the cddb stuff.

With a bit of work it could be ported to NT as a Service and work similarly.

With a bit more work, the backend of CDJ could be hooked to use it. Then you could use CDJ via client/server.
