DXS Slink Control Syntax

I am finally trying to control my DXS with Slink control. I setup my device files and have two devices one for receiving and one for sending. But I can't fot the life of me figure out what the syntax for referencing particular ports is. For example:

00000000ooooooooiiiiiiii:set_port # o = output port (0-7) # i = input port (0-15)

What does a really command look like for setting output 5 to input 2? Can you use HEX, binary? I seem to get inconsistent results when I try either.

How do I work this puppy?

00101010aaaabbbbccccddddeeeeffffgggghhhh:set_allports # a-h = output ports 0-7 # each nybble represents input port 0-15

Any help would be appreciated.
