Colby,

William's problem is not that Delphi can't talk to ADO via the ActiveX, but rather all the data aware controls in Delphi can't talk to it. Borland has a great set of data aware controls supplied with Delphi, but unless you purchase the additional ADO wrappers that allow all data aware controls to use the ADO, you are SOL. Without those wrappers, you would have to use the ADO OCX for communicating with your data files, and then writing the code to programmatically populate the non-data aware controls. That's a lot of work.

William, if you used the BDE with ODBC, you should still be able to access the files - just not with ADO. Not a great solution, but it could work.
