I'm running about 50 feet (approx 16-17 meters). I've had ground loop problems at this distance, since each A/V system is locally grounded unfortunately through the cable line which is difficult and more expensive to isolate than audio lines.
If you get a lot of audio hum, I recommend using audio signal isolators (1:1 transformers) between the two systems. You can buy these at most auto-stereo shops and I've also found them at larger consumer-electronics places in the auto-stereo department.
