Help w/DCOM and editing permissions

I'm trying to edit the permissions of the Nirvis.SlinkeClient properties tab under dcomcnfg. I'm on Win98SE, up to date using the Windows update function on IE 5.
The problem is that when I click on the Security tab under Nirvis.SlinkeClient properties, the "Edit" tab is grayed out. I cannot find any way to make it clickable.
I tried re-installing the full Slike distribution, and installing the Dcom 1.3 distribution from Microsoft.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
