Volume, Mute, Etc. Stop Working

Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. I have been using Slinke for three years with the Slinke connected by to the control a-1 input on a Sony strda90esg receiver using the ampsls.cde file. Everything has worked fine up until just recently when I could no longer control vol., mute, etc. I have no problem controlling the cd player and slinkeserv test fine. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?? I've tried about everything I can think of.
