The receiver is made by custom remote solutions. The link is below. it is called the NECIR2PC and costs about $40. Plugs into a serial port. If you go that route I can give you a Pronto data base for all nec codes, (within reason, lets say 10 devices with 256 keys per device or 2560 IR patterns) and a little RS232 test program
