Yes. On the CDP-CX450 you can set a disc memo using: * PS/2 Keyboard plugged into the deck * The jog-controls, fiddly but not too bad. Just slow. * The remote control, using a number keyboard. Quite like using a mobile phone to send text messages, button one does a,b,c etc * Using slink command 0x80 to set the first 13 letters.

I think the CDP-CX400 is very similar, but lacks two way IR. Therefore you may not be able to set the titles with the remote on that model.

The keyboard method is a bit flacky, you have to type slowly or it missed key presses. It also sometimes gets locked into the wrong case. By the way - It assumes a US layout (even on my UK player!).

Have Nirvis published any specs on the underlying Slink commands?
