This isn't really practical. The basic design concept of the Slink-e was to keep the hardware unit relatively dumb but isolate the timing critical requirements for IR and S-Link protocols from the host software. Basically all of the IR command decoding and encoding is done on the PC-side software and it wouldn't be easy to cram all of this into the Slink-es microcontroller. Concievably ou could do it for a specific remote, but this would defeat the goal of keeping the Slink-e general-purpose.
