Slink-e powers off

If I attache more than two Tx/Rx modules to Slink-e it powers off (the power light fades from green to off). Disconnecting one or more modules causes the power light to illuminate again.
I'm using a 240v to 9v DC 1200mA PSU.
Ideas?
