Need help with DCOM

I have a nt4 server running CDJ software The software is configured to use active X server. This configuration runs fine when running locally. I Also have a windows 98 computer running the CDJ software Dcom is configured to run the program on the server. when ever CDJ is started on the win 98 computer a message comes up saying couldn't create server object error code 0x800706ba
Is there any way to check if dcom is working
The network is working computers can share files and printers
