I've been buying model 260's primarily for the improved specs
over the lower models.. in fact the 260 is almost equivalent to the
ES models and you can get the 260's much cheaper.

The problem I ran into with 260's is that they go into this master/slave
mode which takes away your fade capability if you put 3 players on a
single sline.

But I never thought of what Colby is doing.. makes sense assuming the
improved specs etc don't also improve the digital output capability.

Colby, I'm also interested in your switch.. But how about 12 digital
inputs so that the switch could support an entire Slink-e's worth
of outputs ?
