The real answer is to improve the clock jitter right before the DAC. I'm not sure improving the source clock on a Sony player would help jitter much, as there is a considerable number of gates this clock travels through before reaching the DAC.

The easiest way to solve this problem is to have an outboard DAC with a good local clock and an asynchronous sample rate converter IC like the AD1891. If you run a setup like this, you really don't have to worry about the amount of jitter each of your sources has.
