Kernel crash in ocx

We have been using the ActiveX control very successfully over the last couple of months. Now I can't seem to get past the Create call because I get an exception in the kernel on the OleCreateFontIndirect which is in MFC code (in CreateOleFont in occcont.cpp). Any clues? Thanks.
