>>
The artist names are listed first name, last name, so when the column is sorted it is sorted by first

name. This does not appear particularly useful. Is there a way to sort it by last name.
<<

Not currenly. The data from CDDB does not distinguish first and last names. It would be up to the software to come up with an intelligent way to extract the names based on the number of words, etc.

>>

I'm not sure of the best way to use CDJ when loading discs into the CX270. After loading 2 or 3 discs

do I then have to use Library, Search for Discs, and then have give it the slots to search.
<<

you can, or you could just use the "search for new" option which only checks the slots CDJ thinks to be empty. It doesn't actually have to go all of these slots, just the ones which contain discs.

>>
If I replace a

disc in say slot 2 with a new disc and play it, does CDJ check the disc ID against the library list and

realize that a new disc is now in the slot and get the new data fron CDDB.
<<

Of course :)
This happens even if you are playing the player manually and just happen to have CDJ running. I tried to make it fairly transparent.

>>
Does the old CD record

still remain in my local copy of the CDDB so that it is used the next time I load that particular CD

(useful if I have customized the entry or corrected mistakes)?
<<

Right again!

CD's which are in you library, but are presently in a unknown location are showed with greyed icons. You can still use the to make playlists, they just won't play until CDJ figures out where they are.
