You need to go a step further. You need to tell CDJ what to do for each of these buttons. Read the help under CDJ->Advanced Techniques->Using Events to better understand what I'm talking about. The relevant commands from this device file are:

mute_on
mute_off
vol+
vol-
power_on
power_off

so, for the Vol Up event you might enter the following (assuming you name the device "amp"):

amp:vol+ amp:vol+ amp:vol+ amp:vol+

(the reason you might send it 4 times is get a reasonable set size in the volume change)
