trouble creating device files

I am not having much success at creating some device files using EZ learn. I am able to capture the IR signals but when I try them they don't work. I have run the IR port test and it passes. I have experimented with various carrier freq. and have tried the values that are recommended within the common1 device file.

As I mentioned in the previous post I am able to capture X10 ir and ir from some devices (Toshiba DVD player) ok.

One of the problem devices is a Kenwood x1000 receiver.

As a test I tried to capture the IR from my sony cd player... with the same results..I can capture the signal but trying it fails.

I'm going to try a different computer.
