X-Fade 2 Players

Is anyone using Sony's x-fade feature?

Using a CX220 and a CX240 and shuffle mode with no delay the players will switch back and forth a few times then both units go into pause. If I use x-fade instead of no delay they will work for a few hours until one unit or the other gets confused while shuffling and can't find a track to play.

A buddy of mine is having exactly the same problem. Is it working for anyone?
