Hi Colby,

I've experienced the disappearing CDs. It seems to be tied to CD the failing to play when CDJ tries to play the CD. I used to have this a lot when I had the major problem with the slink-e and CDJ/slinkserv losing contact. I don't think I've seen it recently (but I haven't checked real closely).

What was really frustrating is that if I tell CDJ to go look for CDs it wouldn't find the missing CDs. Usually the changer doesn't even move to the slot that the CD was in. I usually can guess what slot a missing CD was in because I have them laid out in a pattern (I also can cross check it agains the memo on the player). I would use the "look in slot dammit!" option and tell CDJ to look in the slot that I thought the CD was in and that usually worked in bringing the CD back. On some occasions even that wouldn't help, in those cases it seemed that the player didn't believe there was a CD in the slot. In those cases I would try removing the CD from the slot and putting it back. And when that would fail (I think it's happened twice) I move the CD to a different slot.

It's a really sinister problem because you can go for a long time and not notice a CD is missing from the library.

It would really help if there was a way to generate a log that would show
CDs being added and deleted from the library (and the reason). I suspect it would nail this problem pretty quickly.
