library file across SMB?

I know this one is probably pretty obscure, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyways... I tried having my library file across a network drive only to find that it would take CDJ about 10 minutes to save the library (only 193 items in it, it's not THAT big)... Does CDJ do anything strange in the way it writes the data out? It looks like the server (Samba 2.0.1 running under Solaris 7 on SPARC) is getting caught up trying to do oplocks, as if for many many files..
I keep almost all of my data on my sparc, and I pound on Samba a LOT, so I'm not thinking this is a server issue...

It's not big deal, I'll just move the library back onto the PC, but I thought it was odd enough to mention.

Thanks
