I tried it without the x10 device loaded and with SlinkeServ set to not look for any CM11. It seemed to run longer (about 24 hours), but this could be a fluke due to the random nature of the trap. I eventually (during playing) got an MFC runtime error in CDJ.EXE. When I clicked OK on that, I got this termination:

CDJ caused an invalid page fault in
module MFC42.DLL at 015f:5f4012a1.

I'm going to try the latest 6/23 beta. You'll also be happy to know I'm upgrading the motherboard on the 486-66 running CDJ to a Cyrix MII-300. Not the fastest in the world, but faster than a 486! Hopefully I'll eliminate the traps that way.

Is it possible this could be a Win98 vs WinNT thing, since some people seem to get traps regularly, while others seem to never get them? (I run Win98; I presume Colby runs WinNT?) Perhaps the traps only occur in Win98?
