Failure to detect players

I recently bought a slink-e and am using it to control two Sony 200 disc
changers. Installed everything, worked fine, uploaded text to the players
the whole works. Happily using CDJ for about a week when one day it suddenly
would not detect the changers anymore.

Powercycled the changers (at the plug, not just front panel) rebooted the
computer, powercycled the slink-e. No joy. Computer can see the slink-e,
passes all the diagnostics, little led goes orange just fine, but slinkserv
doesn't show anything on the slink bus, and CDJ shows no players. Switch
slink ports still no joy.

Thought maybe it was a wiring problem to the changers, swapped cables, swapped
slink ports on the changers, tried to connect to just one changer using both
the included slink-e kit cable, and my original radio shack cable. No joy.

Any suggestions on what to try now? One housemate reported to me that he could
play full albums by doubleclicking them in the album list. I'll verify that
tonight.
