In Response To: Problems sending IR to Kenwood 1090VR (Mark Brink)

I had similar problems with my Kenwood KRX1000.

I can send commands to the Kenwood just fine. Similarly, I can decode IR from the Kenwood remote using the the same commmand file. But the slinke won't reliably echo from the remote to the Kenwood. And I had to edit the Kenwood command file to eliminate a mysterious "1" that always occured when I created a "nomatch" file. The "1" was in every command after the valid 32 bits were received.

The slinke reliably echoes to my other equipment, including Sony DSS receivers and two JVC receivers.

I think the problem has something to do with the unusually long Kenwood codes (32 bits), but I really haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet.
