Automation method for turning CD players on/off?

I'm interested in leaving CDJ up and running continuously on a dedicated computer, controlling some CD players, and in turn being controlled by a separate program and IR commands via the automation interface. One thing I'd like CDJ to do is be able to turn the CD players on and off, since I don't want them on all the time while CDJ is running, just when they're actually in use. I could launch and exit CDJ to turn on and off the players, but that's slow and overly complicates my automation program.

I have tried sending SlinkX commands to turn the players off explicitly (cdsls002:power_off), and of course that works. However, when CDJ has the "Poll status of idle players for increased reliability" option turned on, it detects players that are off, and turns them back on, even when CDJ is idle (presumably to force the players into a known state at all times). Turning off this option eliminates this behavior and lets me turn the players on and off explicitly, like I want. However, I find that with that option turned off, over time CDJ tends to occasionally get out of sync with the players, resulting in stopped playlists, wrong tracks playing, etc.

It would be nice to have an automation command that turns all players off in CDJ (and stops polling their state), and one that turns them all on. Alternatively, perhaps CDJ could have an option to leave off players off, even if the polling option is set.
