Add Field to Library

I would like to add a "free" field to the Library to help me catalog disks by type of music "Jazz" "rock" "blues" etc. How can I do this? I have found a "keyword" category related to playlists and groups which would work well. Is there a way to bring "keyword" to a new field in the library?
