Very similar to my problem. Sometimes I give up and have to resort to the ctrl-alt-del. Which OS are you running 95/98/NT? I assume when you said through Slink-e you meant SLINKX, the server version of Slink.
Perhaps Colby will look into this soon. He indicated he is working on automation issues
