In Response To: Re: Clueless automation question (Gautam Desai)

Thanks for the advice... but it's still broke. My code now reads:

dim Slinkx
dim result
dim devID
Set Slinkx=CreateObject("SLINKX.SlinkxCtrl.1")
devID = 1
result = Slinkx.AddDeviceText("cdj", "type=devtx", devID, 1, 0)
result = Slinkx.AddDeviceText("cdjr", "type=devrx", devID, 1, 0)
result=Slinkx.SendEx("cdj:playlist_next")
Set Slinkx = nothing

It gets the same "catastrophic error" in the first AddDeviceText line. It's like WSH doesn't like creating the Slinkx object, but I know that's all working because if I throw in some debugging code it shows that IsObject(Slinkx) is true after the CreateObject.

Any other ideas?
