In Response To: CX200 text uploading to remotes works! (Jon Welfringer)

Jon,

I tried sending the query_memo_text2 command from the CDJ SLink-e Data window and I beleive the CX90ES is sending back 16 characters. The following is a log of the data that I recorded:

cdsls002:query_memo_text2[13]
cdslr002:memo_text2[130900506C6561736520506C6561736520]
nomatch:sl0[9949024D650000000000000000000000000000]

The disc title is "Please Please Me". The first fourteen characters are in the first returned string, and the last two characters are in the "nomatch" string.

The "nomatch" appears to be the CD_Text_extra format.

My guess is that if you use the "nomatch" command string and fill in the zeros with data, you should be able to send a maximum of 30 characters.

Notice that the first byte (0x99) of the "nomatch" string is the prefix for the CD2 command mode.

Hope this helps,

Dave
