JVC CompuLink

Hello!

I just bought a JVC RX-884 A/V receiver, and I am very pleased with the performance, especially when playing DVDs with Dolby Digital sound. To make this perfect, I would like to connect the receiver to my SLink. JVC has a tecnology similar to S-Link, called CompuLink, and I have found a web page with some information on this at the attached URL.

Could anyone (Colby?) tell me what is necessary to connect a CompuLink unit to the S-Link, and how difficult this would be to build?

Also, has anyone been able to control a JVC receiver via the S-Link IR transmitter? I have been able to decode the binary codes for the remote, but I guess I still haven't got the carrier, start/stop and zero/one timings quite right, since the receiver doesn't respond when I send the codes with the S-Link. Any help would be appreciated.
