High Serial Ports Supported?

I'm on the verge of ordering a Slink-e to control three Sony changers. Can anyone advise precisely which serial ports CDJ will address? I have added several ports to my PC through the magic of USB-based COM port emulation. COM1 through COM4, which are all real serial ports, are already in use by other devices, controlled by brain-dead software that can only recognize the first four COM ports on a computer. I have COM5 through COM9 available on my system and would like to attach Slink-e to one of these. They are all virtualized COM ports in which driver software presents a fake COM port to running applications, intercepts commands for that port, and transfers those commands via the USB bus to the relevant 9-pin physical port (located on the back of a USB hub device). Signals from the attached device move back through the same series of links and appear, to the app, to be coming from the relevant COM port. In testing, I have generally found this setup to work well with software that can recognize COM ports higher than COM4. Can CDJ do that? Thanks for any advice.
