CDJ death when asking for notifications without a Slink-e connected

Howdy, if I run CDJ without my Slink-e connected (but using the Slink-e server), start a MP3 playlist and then start, say, the TV Remote (VB) example, when I step over the

Call Slinkx.Send(SendName, "notify_playing_timecode[on]")
line, CDJ errors out like so (this is the 6/1/99 beta version):

Is there something more that can be done in the setup of the automation app. or is this simply a CDJ bug?
