Tell me if I'm way off, but I have a cunning plan. If the only problem is in receiving the higher frequency IR signals so that they can be re-transmitted in other rooms using the normal transmitters - could the data not be intercepted by the slink-e s-link port and re-transmitted ? My player comes with a separate IR transciever wich appears to be just another s-link device.
