Sony CDP-250 Text Problems

I have installed the latest and greatest of CDJ and Slinkserv and am still running into problems with uploading text to my player. Of course, I couldn't even upload in the old versions, due to the fact the player doesn't support text upload via the S-Link port. So I was happy to see it was added using the IR. Except it seems to have loads of problems when I upload the text.

1. "U" and "V" are backwords. I believe it is a flaw in the cd player itself. It doesn't go in order when you use the remote control to manually name the disc (MAJOR pain to do that).

2. When I select upload all disc memos to player, it goes crazy, it picks any disc and puts the wrong name on it. For exmaple, disc 133 is suppose to be named but it ends up naming disc 3 that name.

3. If I only upload one disc memo from CDJ to the player, it will name the disc the player is currently set to. If it is on disc 14, but I want to name disc 54, it will name disc 14. It works fine if I change the cd player to the correct slot before I upload the text.

4. When it names a CD, it seems to forget the last letter in every word, and doesn't use spaces. For exmaple, Madonna's CD Ray of Light (alright, enough laughing) is named RaOLight on the cd player.

I am sure Colby is busy enough with other problems and this is really a problem for just a few people. Of maybe with my luck I am the only one having this problem. It sure would be a life saver though if it could work correctly. Other then that though, CDJ is a great program.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is it with the software? Or is some setting not right to allow it to correctly upload the text?

Thanks,
Bobby Millikin
