Playing music for your own enjoyment is perfectly fine, but letting your friends have access to it might not be...Not to squash the inventor spirit, but isn't this illegal in some way?
You are essentially setting up a radio station in mircocosm, without paying royalties to the artists (actually the record companies) that radio stations must pay.
