Sorry, I forgot that I was using slinke-serve. That should be in the instructions for the screen saver...

I cannot replicate your problem on my machine (Win98), but one thing to try: do not specifically start slinke-serve. Upon loading, CDJ will automatically start the server if an instance is not already running. That instance of slinke-serve will close when CDJ does. I don't promise that this will help, but you could try it.
