Slink-X hangs on shared interrupts

I just reconfigured my PC to have 10 Rs232 ports, the normal COM1 and com 2 (com 2 is the modem) The other 8 ports are Com3 through Com10. Com 1 and Com 2 each have their own interrupts (IRQ). Com3,5,7,9 all share one IRQ and Com4,6,8,10 all share a different IRQ.

When the slinke is connected into one of the ports (COM#) with the shared interrupt configuration it hangs the entire system. A reset is required to reboot. Moving the slinke to COM1 which has a dedicated IRQ restores normal operation.

The CM11A is connected to a shared port. (COM6) The SlinkX has no problem with that, but I am not doing anything with it at this time. I merely have it plugged in.

Has this happened to anybody else? is it a known bug? It is a bit of an esoteric configuration to have so many COM ports but I decided to make all my Home Automation devices COM based and this was the first step.
