Artist names from CDDB

I've noticed that most of the information retrieved from CDDB comes back with artist as "Firstname Lastname" but a few come back as "Lastname, Firstname". The latter is actually what I could prefer but I can live with either one. The problem is that I have some artists with different discs listed differently (Wendy Carlos AND Carlos, Wendy). Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions or comments? Thanks!
