I have a 90, the problem it had was different, but may be related. In random mode, it would start a song , play about 15 seconds, and then start the same song again. It would do this once every hour or so. Took it in finally (after 2 years) and they replaced the whole drive/mobo. So there may be major problems with the motherboard. Ask them if there is a service bulletin issued by Sony. Be forceful, they shouldn't be able to lie to you.Also, there was post on this bulletin board about 6 months ago someone talking to Sony service, and them admitting that there was a s/w problem.
