Missing disks

I have this problem. I use an 88ES, and it's been a pain. It's had it's guts replaced once, and needs to go back for random skipping.
Occaisonally, I'll have CDJ insist a disk is not there. I think I found that when CDJ didn't think it was there, neither did the 88ES. That is, I think it's the 88ES that's whacked... not CDJ.
See if you can shut down CDJ, and go to the CD from the remote... if the changer doesn't see it, I think that says it's the changer that's acting loopy.
