I just got my Slink-e yesterday. I wrote a quickie app based on the MS-Speech API (free download (except you have to sell your soul to BG)). It basically takes a context free grammar, which translates text to SENDEX commands ie translate "JUKEBOX PLAY" to CDJ:PLAYLIST_PLAY or "DISNEY" sends the remote codes to the satelite box to change the channel, and passes it to SLINK-X. Works like a charm, I had it replying with MS-Speech, but it was annoying. Big drawback: good on paper, works while testing at 2am, does not work well when the stuff is all on and the kids are screaming..... Its hacked code but anyone who wants it is welcome (Wait a day or two, and I will polish the really rough edges) (code is VB 6)
