Thanks for the reply, but I am still confused (but less so I think)

I am assuming I have to set up a device file named cdsls001 with a code in it with the name ">>|". Does such a device file already exist? Would it be possible to do the same thing with a lowlevel command using the device type=lowlevel? If so what are the Hex codes for next track and prior track. An example in VB would be most helpful. To date I have only talked to CDJ and the CM11A. If you could send me the initialization sequence and the actual commands in VB that would be most useful
