dvd control.

i am a slink-e newbie and am trying to control a sony dvp 550 dvd player via s control from a single board computer(serially) does anyone have common sony asci comand codes?

i am also a bit confused on which port the control-s is? i0? is control-s bidirectional or will i just be seding it info?

i bet this is a dumb question but it isn't exactly clear to me how the binary comand codes in the help files translate to asci messages. it seem like i'll just be sending quick asci strings to the slink-e.
