It is running great now. I think it "sobbered up" some (Gave it coffee). :) It had something to do with IR. However, I cannot say what I exactly did to help fix it (did all sorts of stuff).

Here is how is discovered a problem with IR. The sender (telephone box thing)is exactly across the room from the slink-e box. I guess you could say there are in viewing distance, but they always have been. I would start CDJ (after turning off SLink-x) and it would site they on "Finding Slink-es" forever. However, one time a person was standing in front of the sender unit when I started CDJ and it discovered the slink-e right away.

When CDJ would be playing a CD on the jukebox, I noticed in the title bar, the counter would freeze for 15 seconds, the suddenly count off all the numbers till it got to the proper number again. During this "blackout" phase, you could still type commands in to the slink-e data window, browse the library, and click buttons (even the CD logo would still spin), the computer wasn't choking at all. If I would send a IR command, like Volume Down, it wouldn't happen until the "blackout" phase would end. the data window would suddenly get all the information it was suppose to have if it wouldn't have frozen. Only thing is, about 20 "time_code_on" strings would also be in there. Almost like CDJ lost communications with the slink-e box, then it suddenly got it. Weird part, it wasn't missing any data, it as just held up. some part of CDJ must have noticed something, due to the "time_code_on" strings. This would then loop over again in a few seconds....unless

I disconnected the phone cord out of the slink-e box that went to the IR sender. Then CDJ ran great. It seems the slink-e box was having some problem with IR.

After a while, I tried reconnecting the IR sender, CDJ would once again slow down. I disabled the IR recieve port. Reconnnected the IR sender. It worked fine. Then I got daring and re-enabled it. Still worked fine.

The saga is still going though. I have a universal remote control that I use to control CDJ's playlist. I have one of the pre-loaded IR files to do this, I set it to a panasonic VCR. However, CDJ displays a TON of NomatchIR:(panasonic). I have a panasonic TV that I still use. It has been acting very funny lately, like I would push Channel up once, and it would eiter not listen, or jump a bunch of channels. It seems like I am getting a flood of IR from one of the remotes. This is where it gets strange. The universal remote control, controls my TV (A Panasonic) and the CDJ (a panasonic VCR was choosen). The thing must be leaking out IR somehow. both confusing my TV and flooding CDJ maybe and causing it to go wild. Would this explain CDJ being so funny? I am still trying to figure it out.
