Don't you find SBLive to be very limited in conversion? I bought one about a year ago, and then discovered that it only does 48 KHz digital input only. Anything else is digitally re-sampled. And the worst thing is there is no 0 db setting either. Thus you really know what you are putting in and what is going on to the disk are the same thing!!

I have some DAT tapes that were recorded in 44.1 KHz masters. It is impossible to get them into the computer without degradation.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a Sound card ? I have heard that Turtle Beach can do what I want. I need to replace that SBLive with something useful , and throw the SBLive away.....
