CDP-CX90ES Text Upload Problem

I think this is an old topic but I am still experiencing problems with the text upload to my CX90ES. If I attempt to upload text for disc position X, it seems that if the artist field is 12 characters or more (including spaces) it clobbers the text in the disc position X-8. If I edit down the artist field (in Access) temporarily, the upload works fine. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? I am at CDJ version 8/5/99.
